Earlier this year we began a project to create some unique Pip & Pantalaimon storage bags as a little bit of a hobby project in between sewing lingerie.
I know lots of brands have made tote bags in the past, but honestly, I wouldn’t carry around a tote bag with undies on it so I decided that a draw string storage bag would get infinitely more use than a tote.
I found a fabulous illustrator (@marlavonduta) and set about discussing with her my plan for the bag. I really wanted to showcase our products and I wanted the end design to be instantly recognisable to anyone familiar with the brand.
Marla created a beautiful and unique illustration which I sent to our local printers for postcards. These cards have been going out with orders for a month or so, in black and white form. Ready for you to colour in, if you fancy.
I also arranged for the illustration to be exposed onto a screen so that I can print the image onto anything I like, and I’ve chosen draw string bags!
The bags are honestly great, you can never have enough bags and these ones are large, A3 size so they can fit 3-4 sets of lingerie comfortably. They’re also a perfect storage solution for your delicate seamed stockings, of which the bags would hold an awful lot. The bags can hang on the back of doors or in wardrobes, or they can also be folded flat in your underwear draw.
The bags are great for travel too, I gave a couple out to my friends, one’s that my engineering boyfriend would call ‘first offs’. The following week one of them told me that they’d used the bag on a weekend away to separate laundry on a short trip.
