Frequently Asked Questions
How long will it take to dispatch my order?
We sew our lingerie to order, please allow 3 full working days for dispatch, you will receive a notification when we post your order.
How do you send orders?
We use Royal Mail to send all orders. Delivery times in the UK are around 2-3 days, Europe and USA delivery times are 1-2 weeks.
Where is our lingerie made?
We proudly make every piece of Pip & Pantalaimon lingerie in the UK, in our Market Harborough studio to be exact. We use true vintage machinery to create every single piece of our lingerie.
I'm between sizes, which size should I order?
We always recommend sizing up in this instance. There is more information about sizing on our sizing page here.
Should I wear my suspender belt (garter belt) over or under my knickers (panties)?
Great question! We've written a blog post on this, read it here.
Are your bras padded?
Non of our bras come padded as standard. But, as we make to order anyway, we can add padding to the lower cup of any bra on request. We pad the lower cup only as the upper cups are a little stretchy and sheer, and any padded would alter this. Lower cup padding also enhances the subtle vintage shape. The image below shows one of our bras with padding, compared to one without
I'd like to order a bra with the lower cup padding, what do I need to do to include this option in the order?
There is a little white box at checkout where you can add special requests.
If you miss this though, you can always just follow up afterwards with your order number and we can add the note to your order at our end. We can add padding to any bra, but once we do this the bra becomes a custom piece and cannot be returned.
How should I care for my new lingerie?
The better you care for your lingerie the longer it will last. Hand wash in hot water with a little detergent is always best, then roll up in a towel or leave to drip dry. Before washing your lingerie, ensure the canvas suspender grips are securely fastened into the metal suspender clip, just like they were when you received them.
Alternatively, you can wash your lingerie in the washing machine if necessary, on a delicate 30 degree cycle. Never ever tumble dry or iron your lingerie.
We recommend hand washing over machine washing to prolong the life of your lingerie.
What's the difference between the Plush Biscotti and the Biscotti Lace ranges?
The Plush Biscotti range uses a strong stretchy Biscotti Lace with large floral pattern. The lace has a smooth outer and a beautifully plush inner, perfect for cooler climates to give you a little extra warmth.
The Biscotti Lace uses two separate layers of fabric, with the lace laid over the mesh. The lace is a slightly darker hue and beautifully compliments the mesh and Biscotti trims.
Are the suspender belts suitable for compression stockings?
Yes our suspender belts are great for compression stockings as the suspender clips are metal, never plastic.
The belts are very sturdy and hard wearing, but not firm and scratchy.
I’m non-binary and unsure about sizing.. I read your article *here is a link* which would suggest buying one size smaller than my natural waist. but the blurb on the actual garment page suggests it runs small and to therefore go up one size. I'm a 31 in waist.
Generally speaking, those who are between sizes are better off sizing up. As your waist measurement is 31, a UK14 should be the perfect fit for you so you wouldn't need to size up.
However, the garments are designed for a standard 10 inch difference between waist and full hip measurements, this hourglass~esq shape helps keep the suspender belt up around the natural waist.
If you feel that you don't have such a severe difference between your waist and hip measurements, you may then want to size down to guarantee a snug fit.
All the belts are designed to be worn on the tightest setting, so if you did decide to order the UK12 and found that it was a little too snug, then you could wear it on the looser setting.
